OrderFire is Charlotte’s original culinary video web series, produced and filmed by award-winning photographer and director Peter Taylor and hosted by renowned NC chef Marc Jacksina

After a long delay OrderFire will be showing an episode featuring our very own Chef Sam —

over Zoom on Sunday Oct. 25th at 5pm!

The episode was originally shot and scheduled for March 22when Sam was still the Executive Chef at Upstream, which has since closed due to COVID interuptus, which closing inspired Sam to start Your Farms Your Table.  OrderFire will show the original episode as it was filmed and edited and then follow up with a short update.

After the showing, they will have a short Q/A, and Sam will do a cooking demo over Zoom. Since we can’t all be together for a raffle or to sample some of Sam’s food, we’re offering prepared three course meals for $30 per person.

The menu is delicata squash soup with cinnamon, rosemary and chile; lemongrass and soy braised beef ribs with jasmine rice, and shiitake salsa; and salted chocolate-caramel tarts with sweet cream, and smoked sea salt —

for pick up at Free Range Brewing, 2320 N. Davidson St. on Saturday, Oct. 24 after 2 p.m.

In case you don’t know, Chef Sam is a bad ass. He beat Bobby Flay at his own game! This is such a great story. We filmed this episode back in Feb 2020 and had to cancel our premier in March due to COVID. There have been a lot of changes since we originally filmed this so we added a little update. We will show the original episode as it was filmed and edited and then follow up with short update, then Q&A, and cooking demo — all over Zoom!
